One of the main advantages of living in a metropolis like Seoul is the availability of hundreds of activities within the city.
Seoul hosts several festivals in several districts, especially in April and May even a few of them at the same time. One major festival is the Seoul Lantern Festival taking place in November. Similar to this is Yeon Deung Hoe (Lotus Lantern Festival) which took place in April. The following video provides a good impression of the main attractions.
The festival took place over a few days. I’ve been at the final day with the parade and the ending show. I was surprised by all the energy during the performance and the audience. The musical genres varied widely and throughout most of the songs many polonaises where going through the crowd. It was really fun to party with all these people and I highly recommend visiting it.
